Do I need to repay the entire loan amount or just the interest on it?

Your loan repayment would include the principal loan amount and the interest that is levied on this loan amount. Is there any cashback on interest available?

We understand that customers look for various schemes and offers before applying for a gold loan. Keeping that in mind, we do offer several schemes on the gold loan that you are seeking.

Mainly, these offers are valid on the interest rate; one such scheme is the 5% cashback scheme on the interest. However, there are terms and conditions for the same. Please contact us for more details.

Do you charge interest on the processing fees as well?

No, we do not charge any extra or additional interest or fees. We only charge the required interest rate against the amount of the loan. Kindly note that if the executive asks for a processing fee, please do not pay and inform us immediately about the same.

Are people with no bank accounts eligible for the loan?

Since we transfer the loan amount directly to the customer’s bank account, having a valid bank account is necessary.

However, for example, if your father wants to start a café business but has no bank account, you can take the loan under your name and account, using the ‘Loan@Home’ service.

No, the requested loan amount is transferred directly to your bank accounts. Hence, as part of our security protocols, we transfer the amount to the bank account. 

Can I transfer my loan from my existing lender? If yes, what is the procedure?

Yes, you can transfer your gold loan from the existing lender to your new gold loan account at Muthoot Finance Limited (MFL).

To shift your existing gold loan, you don’t have to arrange for the current due amount. All you have to do is share the pledge form of your existing gold loan and we will help you shift it to your MFL account. Along with this, customers who are transferring their gold loan from other financers to our account can avail all the benefits that MFL offers.

What is the tenure for the repayment?

Keeping the convenience of our customers in mind, we offer flexible tenure options that our customers can select from. There are different schemes that range from 6-months tenure to 12-months and more. It also depends on the loan amount that you request for and the interest rate levied on it.

What is part-payment of the loan? Is the same available with the ‘Loan@Home’ service?

A part-payment (repayment) of the loan means repaying a portion of the borrowed amount before the tenure. There is no fixed amount for this. However, this amount is higher than the interest amount for the particular month. Part-payment of the loan helps in reducing the tenure, giving you some additional benefits.
